Taylor

Taylor Swift, the rarest pop star, is one who was able to transcend from the country genre to mainstream pop culture, becoming an idol of the pop culture. The singer also swept every continent in the process. Swift dropped country as if it was a second layer, showing that she's perhaps the best pop-singer/songwriter in her generation. Someone who is able to harness the zeitgeist to make it personal as well as be able to perform at the opposite. The evidence was clear in her earliest songs especially on the neo tribute of Tim McGraw. On her album Fearless (2008) Swift revealed a singer/songwriter who was beginning to get acquainted with her. The album was a huge success, not just in America, but also with six platinum-certified singles. The Top Ten songs Love Story and You Belong with Me were the most important reasons. But, it also did very well across the globe. The Swift's Speak Now album released two years ago was a continuation of her earlier popularity and launched her into superstardom. In the three subsequent albums the three albums that followed -- Red 2012 1989 2014, along with Reputation 2017, Swift's success only grew. This was a sure sign she had moved to the new music scene which she was able to fit into. Her popularity grew even after she altered her plan with 2020's pared-down siblings Folklore (and Evermore) and stayed at the top of the charts.
