She was named Miss Columbus in 1985 after getting the crown as well as beating her rivals. The winner was entitled, as the result of her victory to compete in Miss Georgia Pageant. Mohr then went on in September of 1985 to compete for Georgia at Miss America 1986, a pageant that was held at Atlantic City, New Jersey. She was, however, not one of the Top 10 finalist in the race for the Miss America title.
