Paula Patton, an American actress and producer is best known for her roles as the main character in Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol (an action-spy thriller) as well as Precious (a drama). As a young girl Paula Patton grew up in an Los Angeles middle-class household. Instilling a passion for film in her daughter was something that was a gift from her mother who was also a fan of movies. Paula participated in co-curricular school events, and she particularly enjoyed acting. Paula enjoyed acting with her friends as well as participating in the school's stage productions. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School offered her numerous chances to perform in high school and she chose acting to pursue a career. She went to an acting program at the University of Southern California for a Summer Program and loved the experience. She received a 3-month contract to produce documentaries on PBS. The first assignment was to be an assistant to production for TV documentaries, after completing her task. Then, she switched to the production of documentaries. She loved her work however, she always wanted to be an actor. Her acting debut came by playing a supporting role in Will Smith's romantic comedy Hitch. Since then, she's appeared in a variety of film and TV series.
