StephanieStephanie Sigman is a Mexican American actress. Her breakout role was in Miss Bala (2011), the Mexican crime-drama film. She also appeared in Pioneer (2013) and Spectre (2015). Sigman was seen in Narcos (2015) as in S.W.A.T.(2017) in the first and second seasons respectively. Sigman was born in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico and was the daughter of an Mexican mother and an American father, Lee Sigman, a New York Yankees scout from Kansas. By virtue of her father, she is an U.S. citizen. [2][3][4] The father of her, former baseball athlete Kenneth Ray Sigman was her mother. She started her career in Mexican television before making her debut on film in Rio de Oro. In 2011 she was cast in the lead part in the film Laura Guerrero in the Mexican crime drama film, Miss Bala. [6] The film was selected as the Mexican entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards. it was not on the cut. (9) Sigman received a Dublin Film Critics Circle Award for her work as film critic in 2011. In 2011, she appeared in Catalina Aguado, the Canadian documentary Film Flight of the Butterflies. 2013 saw Sigman star in the Norwegian thriller Pioneer
