Lars Mikkelsen-1Lars Dittmann Mikkelsen was born on May 6, 1964. He has appeared as Copenhagen mayoral election candidate Troels Hartmann in the The Killing drama, Charles Augustus Magnussen in the third series of Sherlock and the Russian president Viktor Petrov in the American House of Cards on Netflix as well as Grand Admiral Thrawn in Star Wars Rebels. He received the Reumert Prize of Honour in 2011, aged of 27. In 1995, he graduated to the National Theatre School of Denmark. He also appeared in The Killing's drama series. [1] He then appeared in Borgen III and Those Who Kill Both of which were internationally popular Danish dramas. He also had a leading part in an episode of BBC drama Sherlock as the blackmailer Charles Magnussen.In the American television show House of Cards, he was the president of Russia. In 2018, he won an International Emmy Award. His role in Danish TV drama Herrens Veje won him an International Emmy Award. The show was broadcast in the UK in the year 2019 under the name Ride Upon the Storm.
